Darian’s career began as a teenager, working  for  celebrated nightlife photographer Patrick McMullan as a photo retoucher, as well as  journalistic reporting  for NY Daily News,  an art docent for Takashi Murakami’s KaiKai Kiki collective at the Japan Society, and an assistant stage manager for the Gorillaz at the Apollo Theater.

While studying Film & Animation at Rhode Island School of Design, Darian was a social media influencer & content creator before those terms were integrated into the cultural  lexicon. Darian  produced award-winning films and fostered the growth of several  social media channels (45K+ across Tumblr, Vimeo, Tapastic). Her films continue to be shown and studied as exemplary student work in RISD thesis courses.

Darian continued work in the film industry for the next decade, founding Cheyenne Media and working on over 100 film and video projects including as a lead content producer for NYC historic arts organization, HOWL! Arts. 

In 2020, Darian expanded her experience as the head of social media and influencer marketing for esteemed New York agency, Mirrorball.
